It's all about response...

As the father of modern advertising, David Oglivy, once said, "We sell, or else..."

Think of me as your advertising slot machine - put $1 in the slot, pull the handle, get $10 or more back. That's my goal with every piece of writing I produce.

Does this happen every time? No, it does not.

It's difficult to get everything perfect the first time we work together. Instead, what we do is test and measure every project. Together, we'll analyse what worked and what didn't and work out why. Each project, therefore, builds on the success of the previous one. Over time, we create a virtuous-circle leading to more and better results each time.

This is the reason I prefer to work with a select few clients over a long period. Working on one-off projects here and there means we can't build a reliable, tested body of work and results are difficult to improve.

However, when we work together long term I will understand your business, your clients, your market and your industry from an insider's perspective. Armed with this detailed knowledge results can be improved and you'll see the real return on your investment in the form of dollars and cents. The only results which really matter.

How I work - in 3 simple steps...

Step 1:

Contact me for an informal discussion about your project. Tell me what you're trying to achieve and what type of writing you need e.g. a sales letter, website content, blog post etc. Once you've given me a broad outline of the project I'll tell you if I can help. If I can help, we move to step 2.

Step 2:

We discuss your project in more detail. This can be done face-to-face, by phone or via email, whatever suits you best. I'll ask you a series of questions relating to your project, your audience and your business. Once this is complete I'll send you a proposal and a quote for doing the work. If you accept the quote we move to step 3.

Step 3:

I send you an invoice for 50% of the total cost of the project. Once paid, this secures your place on my schedule and I start work. The balance is due once the project is complete.
